Over the holiday chaos that was the past 3 weeks, The Rare Bit, a British Gastropub, opened in Dobbs Ferry. The first project from partners, Chef Dave Dibari of The Cookery and The Parlor, and Dobbs-native, Restauranteur, Scott Broccoli offers British inspired eats and chef-driven cocktails.
You’ll find traditional favorites from England on the menu like potted shrimps and scotch eggs for starters, and bangers & mash, bacon chop and steak & stout pie for entrees. Sides include mushy pees, black pudding and bubble & squeak, in addition to a daily special (Shepherd’s Pie on Tuesdays!) and sticky chocolate pudding on the dessert menu.
The word on the street is that the Rare Bit is brit-approved already. They’re coming for the Sunday Roast, a tradition in England, that is on the menu every week. And whether or not British food is your thing, go for the cocktails. Most popular is the “Royal Wedding” comprised of gin, aperol, elderflower and grapefruit. Sounds like the perfect spot to indulge your senses on a cold day this winter.
