I ran in to Target the other day for the usual paper towel/toilet paper run when I got lost in the Hearth and Hand aisle, the line of housewares designed by HGTV’s Joanna Gaines. Honestly, there were so many inspiring home pieces that I was surprised I was standing in Target. I ended up filling my basket with a few, and since I’ve placed them around my house, I’ve enjoyed these mid-winter home brighteners more than I ever thought I would. Check it out.
First, I picked up this faux eucalyptus wreath ($35) for my front door, which perked up my front porch, too, since it’s taken a beating from all of the rock salt we’ve put down on those icy mornings. And with everything so dead outside, a bright green focal point — an elegant circle of eucalyptus leaves!! — cheers me up every time I walk up my front steps. It looks real!
I spent thirteen bucks on this simple striped pitcher, and I’ve been filling it with ice, water and slices of lemon. It’s such a simple pleasure to leave it on the counter and refill your glass while playing with the kids. So summery.
There were dozens of potted faux succulents in the Hearth and Hand aisle, and I bought a couple small ones to put on my kitchen windowsill. Their bright green leaves are so smile inducing — and a good reminder that spring isn’t too far away.
We needed to clean up our entry, so I loved this umbrella stand ($29) and this simple zinc boot tray ($40). Adorable.
This isn’t for the home, but…Isn’t this tote so cute? I didn’t buy the simple canvas and leather tote, but I may go back and grab it, since it’s only $35. And a perfect grab and go work to park bag.
Awesome stuff! I need to go soon:)
