My friend Meredith is always baking: turtle bars, cookies, brownies, cupcakes. In fact, one shelf in her pantry is stacked with so many flavors of boxed cake mix that it makes my mouth water just staring at it. There’s always a plate of something on her counter, and it’s always something you think about for days.
After lunch at her house the other day, she brought out her latest concoction: a carrot cake cupcake with homemade cream cheese frosting, which I quickly gobbled up. The cake, so moist, the frosting, so creamy and not-too-sweet. Her secret recipe: a blog called Sally’s Baking Addiction. My friend has made so many of Sally’s treats, and she swears by them. Here are her the three she makes over and over again.
