Off with her hair! That’s the refrain in my head these days, since I haven’t had a proper cut in — ahem — several months. I let it grow all summer mostly because when I twist long, wind swept hair into a bun at the beach, its cool and all surf girl. Now that I’m back at school pick-up in Westchester, I feel like a sloth. So my hair, which now falls below my bust, is going. All of it. Today. Probably as you read this.
I was going to write a post about recent dinner wins, but I’ll save that for Friday because I started to google haircuts, and I found a few I’m considering. I’m gunning for a drastic change, like the bangs above (tres chic!), which never ends well. Here are some other thoughts.
I had a pixie cut similar to this in my early twenties, but I love, love, love this one, especially the way it tucks behind your ears. Here’s what I remember though: Short hair means more styling. You can’t just throw it in a ponytail. Plus, I’m a runner. Not sure if I could deal with this hair when I run.
I love this one the most — it’s pretty much choppy, long layers. I’m digging the middle part, which is something I never do, too. Plus, this is a change, but it’s not a big change. I’m also laughing at myself. Because do I like the haircut. Or, do I just want to look like the model?
I’m definitely not hip enough to rock this. Maybe if I lived in Brooklyn, I’d try to rock something like this. But it’s so adorable!
Keep It Long. Just Give It Style.
I could also just get a trim and add some style. Apparently, having super long hair is in right now. Natalie Portman always rocks a pretty longish wave. But my big hair wouldn’t do this as pretty.
