This month a lot of us are heading to the airport with the kids to jet off to exotic locales … but there’s always the annoying step of actually getting to the airport. Finding a taxi or Uber is easy, but finding one that’ll supply car seats or boosters can be tough.
That’s why we were intrigued when Kidmoto, a small new Queens-based transport company that caters to families with young children in Manhattan, Westchester and Long Island, contacted us about trying out their services. The staff of six professional drivers is trained to provide and install federally approved car seats (rear or forward facing) or boosters in all their vehicles. Types of transport include sedans, minivans and large SUVs, and prices start at around $110 one way to area airports.
My test ride two weeks ago went off without a hitch. I received a text from our driver an hour before he was due to pick us up, and a Chevy Suburban rolled into our driveway at the appointed time with car seats in place for my kids. Airport transfers can be booked through the Kidmoto website or their app. You can also contact them via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wee Westchester readers can receive $20 off any ride with coupon code WEEWESTCHESTER20, valid on any bookings made through the end of this year. Plus, Kidmoto is giving away a free airport transfer to one lucky Wee Westchester family! The winner will receive a roundtrip ride from any Westchester location to any NYC area airport for up to 7 passengers, including up to 4 children in car seats. This prize is only valid for bookings made through the Kidmoto app before Dec. 31, 2017.
