On a warm summer night, one of my favorite things to do is pack a bag with chilled rose, fresh baguette, salami, cheese and olives and plop a squat at an outdoor concert. Nearly every town in Westchester offers some kind of live music on a public green this summer, but it’s easy to forget the dates while juggling camp drop-offs, beach vacations and day trips.
This handy list will help you plan ahead. Arts Westchester puts out a comprehensive guide every year to all of the live music performances in the area as well as outdoor movies (an Italian film festival in Tuckahoe) and other arts-based nights out (Romeo and Juliet by the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Company in White Plains). Take a look and mark your calendar. Your family will thank you! Below, a small sampling. To view all of Arts Westchester’s “Music in the Air” guide, click here.
