There’s a new H Mart around. Located in the space that used to house Pathmark on Central Park Avenue in Yonkers, this newest outpost opened two weeks ago and features an Asian food court, a Korean-French bakery (yes, that’s a thing), the usual offerings of fresh seafood, produce and prepared meats, plus aisles upon aisles of Asian foods, snacks and drinks. Here’s a little photo tour of the new location.
There’s an aisle dedicated to Korean, Japanese, Chinese snacks – including my favorite, sriracha popcorn – plus tons of interesting goodies by the checkout (shown at top).
If you love Korean barbecue, you can pick up your favorite cut of meat, all prepped and marinated, to grill up at home (or pan-fry on your stovetop).
The on-site bakery, L’Ami, features a vast array of sweets, from macarons to beautiful cakes. Something to keep in mind for birthday parties.
Can’t get enough of mochi ice cream? H Mart carries four different brands and dozens of varieties.
The food court consists of three restaurants serving Korean, Japanese and Chinese food. A lo mein dish got two thumbs up from my friend’s daughter, Charlotte.
