This is an exciting day for us. Over the last five years, after publishing hundreds of stories on everything from the bike whisperer to bathing suits, best restaurants for a date to best neighborhoods for families, we came to a unanimous conclusion: We were so over our look. Nancy, Elizabeth and I spent the last several months brainstorming fonts and color palettes, page design and photo placement, and the wonderful designer Sara Chandlee put our vision to the screen.
Today, we’re thrilled to share the new Wee Westchester. There are hints of the old site — most of our categories are the same — but the way it’s packaged is entirely different. And better.
We changed our logo, sharpened our text, added larger photos and, hopefully, made the site easier to navigate. Our calendar is expanded, including listings for camps and kids classes, and we can’t stop staring at design flourishes, like that glimmer of gold in the drop-down categories, or how easy it is to access categories by clicking photos on the right-hand side of your screen.
When we launched Wee Westchester, our goal was to help you live better, at least in this beautiful place we call home. That’s still our goal, but today, we add another one: To help you read us better, too.
As always, if you’d like to drop us a line, send us feedback, or partner with us, feel free to reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope you enjoy the changes as much as we do! xo
