We were thrilled when Raymour & Flanigan approached us last spring to partner on mini room makeovers. This is the first of three room makeover projects we completed with Raymour & Flanigan, but definitely not the last time we’ll shop there. Having never bought furniture from R&F before, we were super impressed with the selection of furniture styles, from dining room chairs to bedroom sets, when we visited the White Plains Store.
This is the dining room before. Love the farm trestle table found on Craig’s List, but hate the oversized plaid upholstered dining chairs. The side table was purchased from Home Goods several years prior that was previously a storage shelf for kids’ toys! The room was recently updated with paint (Benjamin Moore New London Burgundy) and wainscoting, but it needed major help in the furniture department. (Yes, that’s a pack ‘n’ play in the corner!)
Voilà! The dining room was transformed with new dining chairs and a server. Unfortunately, the dining chairs are no longer available, but there are very similar ones here. I love the nailhead trim and sophisticated farmhouse style that complements the table. As you can see, the finishes are different, which adds some interest to the room.
Here’s a better picture of the Barrington Server. The rustic amber finish goes great with the wall color, and it fits with the transitional style of the dining room (and house). Now it just needs some wine!
