Whether you are expecting a baby, have multiple toddlers in tow, or you’ve outgrown your diaper days, Baby Chic in Tarrytown is worth visiting. Owned by husband and wife team, Stefanie Soukis Laib and Tony Hernandez, this fabulous outpost is a parent (and child’s) dream come true with like-new clothes, toys, strollers and basically anything you could think of for the wee set.
Baby Chic defies the stereotypes of suburban consignment shops, carrying notable children’s brands like Polo, Tea, Mini Boden, Lily Pulitzer, Janie and Jack, and Calvin Klein. Their inventory is constantly being updated, and in-stock now are strollers by uber-fancy Stokke and Bugaboo, as well as modernist Bloom High Chairs.
Additionally, Baby Chic carries tons of new merchandise available for gifts (popular for baby showers), and toys appropriate for all ages. They even have a wish list where you can let Stefanie know what you are looking for and she’ll contact you if she gets it! (Most requests are sent through their Facebook page, where they also post their HUGE sales.)
Coming next month are weekly story times at the boutique, where older kids will read your little one’s favorite stories to small groups. This is a shopping trip the whole family will enjoy!
Baby Chic is located on South Broadway in Tarrytown, and there is parking available in back. Call to make an appointment to consign, clothes are a 60/40 split (60% to Baby Chic) and everthing else is 50/50.
