I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s a relief that the rain stopped and the warm weather is back. We played in our front yard yesterday and it reminded so much of the past few summers when we drew on our sidewalk with chalk. Except now, Charlotte is drawing faces and her name (almost) and Annabelle is hopping on the hopscotch I drew.
When I think about summer, I imagine everything in slow motion. Because we aren’t rushing to school and to whatever classes we’re signed up for, I get to relax a little about our schedules. The kids stay up a little later. They eat more ice cream. (I do, too.) For the month of June we’ll have no school and no camp and I can’t wait. To take it slow.
