It’s always nice to discover a new place to get a good massage in town. I’d often passed by Elements Massage in White Plains without even knowing it — it’s tucked into a pretty little plaza off Main Street, across from Chipotle — and it wasn’t until the massage studio invited us in to experience what they have to offer that I ended up stepping into this peaceful space, an oasis in busy downtown White Plains.
Make no mistake — this isn’t the place to go to for the full spa experience. While the studio is simply and serenely decorated, and very clean, it’s definitely no frills. They don’t hand out white robes and slippers or offer dried fruits in a relaxation room. Instead, this is where you should come to put yourself in the hands of a very capable masseuse for an hour.
My therapist, Patty, was attentive and professional, checking in on everything from the amount of pressure to oil vs. lotion before beginning. She quickly identified my right shoulder as the problem spot and set to work, expertly kneading it into submission. An hour later, I emerged from the dark room in a daze, feeling loose and rejuvenated.
One of the big selling points of Elements is that they offer steeply discounted one-hour massages if you sign up for monthly sessions, which was very tempting after my experience. If you want to check it out, Wee Westchester readers get $40 off their first one-hour massage plus an aromatherapy ritual upgrade with code WEEMOMMY1018. It’s hard to beat that sort of deal, and it’s a good way to explore if this might be your new go-to massage place.
