A friend of mine recently posted on Facebook about a new toy that’s kept her kids endlessly entertained. They’re called Plus Plus Blocks, and they’re like Legos, but flatter, simpler, and easier to tote around.
A Danish invention, Plus Plus Blocks have been around for about 10 years now, but they’re only now becoming popular in the U.S. The small blocks are really more like puzzle pieces that are different colors but the same shape, and you can configure and reconfigure them into all sorts of 2D and 3D characters and scenes.
According to my friend, they’re a big hit for her kids in restaurants, on airplane rides, and even just at home on a rainy day. And because they’re all the same shape and size, there’s no fighting over the shapes or sorting them. I’ve already ordered a small tube for each of my kids.
Here are some of the cool creations being posted online.
