It may be Labor Day, but that doesn’t mean the summer’s come to an end. In fact, the fall doesn’t even officially arrive until Sept. 22, so can we all agree to keep the summer going a little longer?
Let’s keep wearing white clothing, shorts and flip-flops. Don’t even look at your long-sleeve T’s and fall jackets, no matter how cute they are.
Keep heading outside — on hikes, for bike rides, on camping trips, and even to the beach. So long as the temperatures are still hitting the 80s, all these outings are still fair game on the weekends.
Don’t succumb to all the ads for pumpkin-flavored everything. Don’t even think about drinking a pumpkin-spiced coffee or pumpkin-glazed donut until October! Pumpkins are strictly for the fall.
If we all agree to take these steps, we can keep enjoying summer for a few more weeks. I’m not ready for it to come to an end yet, and I bet neither are you. Happy Labor Day!
