This New Years Eve I plan to try a restaurant I’ve always wanted to. I want ambiance, food that leaves me and my husband speechless and bubbly that makes us giddy enough to disclose our resolutions. Or if we don’t have resolutions (who does anymore?) we’ll think of a few before the evening is over. There are so many restaurants in Westchester offering mouth watering menus to celebrate the start of the new year. Here are a few of our favorites, but make your reservations quick before you find yourself at home staring at a “take out” menu!
Celebrate the New Year in this “urban country chic” restaurant in Armonk that’s been all dressed up for the holidays. Executive Chef Ethan Kostbar’s menu is New American with Mediterranean influences. The first seating is 5-7pm and the three course menu is $55 per person (plus tax and gratuity). The second seating is 8-11pm and this three course menu is $105 per person and includes family style hors d’oevres, a Champagne toast at midnight. Check out the irresistible menu on their website. Hudson at Haymount House
This farm to table restaurant sources it’s ingredients from local farms like Amba Farms in Bedford Hills, Shady Tree Farms in Yorktown and Hemlock Hills Farm in Cortlandt Manor. Their executive chef, Scott Riesenberger, has over fourteen years of experience from some of the finest restaurants, but don’t expect a stiff atmosphere at Hudson. The food is fine dining, but the restaurant feels comfortable and casual. The first seating is at 5:30pm – 6:45pm and is $75 per person for four courses, wine pairing option for $45 per person and a cash bar is available. The second seating is 8:30pm to 9:30pm for $145 per person for six courses and includes complimentary champagne toast, open bar, music, and dancing.
Who needs champagne when you can drink one of the best margaritas in Westchester? Feast on tacos, tamales, quesadillas, ceviche and more plus enjoy a drink menu so fabulous you might be singing loudly by the end of the night. A DJ will enliven the evening plus a complimentary midnight toast. Bar Taco: One Willett Avenue, Port Chester; 914-937-TACO
